broken windows... shattered fireplaces...damage both in and outside of these homes on rosemar court."we actually came on our front deck and saw all these people running around in the dark."this woman.... who did not want to show her face on camera for safety reasons saw it all happen.she says at three cars filled with people pulled up to these 4 new homes and started vandalizing them on sunday morning at about 3am. "it was a very calculated episode it seemed as if we woke up around three o'clock in the morning to all this noise and crashing of windows, all the destruction going on and then we saw them scurrying around from one house to another running in and out of backyards and just damaging whatever they could."the woman called police but says by the time officers arrived the

now... it's been more than a week since a young woman was last seen in sausalito. ashley wells got into a kayak and set out on the water for her house boat in the middle of the night... and hasn't been seen since. kron 4's ella sogomonian is following this story... she spoke to her friends. ella, what are those friends saying tonight? ashley was last seen not far from here in the harbor late at night.each day that passes weakens hope but her friends are remaining optimistic trying to do all that they can to find their best friend. for more than one week close friends of ashley wells have been devastated by her sudden disappearance. emma williamson flew in from the u.k. to help find her best friend.emma williamson, ashley's friend "there's still a fragment of hope and that's worth holding

on to, to find lee." sausalito police say wells was last seen march 30th after she left a house boat on an orange kayak.she was headed back alone to another house boat near turney street where she's been staying since february. "which the distance isn't far it's like a kilometer."james mccune, ashley's friend"she had a lot of friends here in town and a lot of people knew her. so we've been talking to them and getting them to spread the word."friends say the 26-year-old was in good spirits and ready to start a new job. "it's strange she's adventurous but responsible and she's also able to look after herself." sausalito police who said there are no new updates.they don't believe foul play is involved and are treating this as a missing persons case. corporal brian mather, sausalito police department "there's always an inherent danger when you're out on the water. it is a bay close to a large body of water that brings its risks."wells is said to be 5'6" about 130 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes.she was last wearing a bright blue plaid shirt and demin jeans.

(jr stone) tonight the killer or killers is still on the loose after a man's body was recovered in a newark strip mall parking lot. we first told you about this story last night at 8. on saturday the victim was found shot in the head inside this gray bmw in newark. witnesses saw the lifeless body slumped over the steering wheel. the engine was still running and the wipers were on. our reporters were shown the surveillance video where you can see three men get into the car. then a short time later

you can see them getting out of the car and leaving the area. witnesses say this type of crime is rare in newark.we have so little trouble in newark that this was a shocker for us. we have the interstate very close by and it's easy to get on the dumbarton bridge quickly so it's a great place to hit and run so it's a concern of ours. last year we did have a drive by shooting on our street.(jr stone) the victim's name has not been released. police say this killing does not appear to be random. (jrstone) chp is investigating what is being called a drive-by shooting that happened yesterday in antioch. it happened around 3:30 in the afternoon on highway 4 near the lone tree way off-ramp. authorities say two panhandlers were fired at. a woman was hit in the leg... she was treated at a hospital and released. officials believe this may have been gang related. since the begining of 20-15... 111

details about the bombing of two coptic (cop-tick) churches in egypt. isis is now claiming responsibility for the explosions. according to egypt's health ministry... the death toll is up the 43 with more than 100 people injured. the explosive device at one church was planted under a seat in the main prayer hall. the explosions happened during today's palm sunday service... which marks the start of holy week for christians. according to state t-v... egypt's president has declared a three day nation-wide mourning following the bombings. the president has also orderd units from the military to immediately deploy and assist the civilian police in securing vital and important facilities and installations across the country. the

(jrstone) spring break means the annual "del-topia" party for u-c santa barbara students. but the event didn't turn out as planned for this woman. take a look at these pictures... the 22 year-old woman was hospitalized after falling off a balcony and down a cliff onto the beach below yesterday. authorities say she was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries. according to police... 42 people were arrested and 14 were injured. one officer

sustained multiple injuries including a broken hand while trying to arrest a 19 year-old man. authorities say between six and eight thousand people attended the event. (jr stone) it has been a very busy weekend in the sierra. two words pretty much describe it all. digging out. folks in the lake tahoe area have spent much of the weekend digging out of the snow. some locations received a foot and a half of snow friday night and saturday. we showed you some of the skiing pictures last night. tonight you can see some of the roads and neighborhoods hit hard by the snow. those we talked with said it's usually getting warm right now. this is absolutely mind blowing right now. two years ago i was mountain biking right now i was hanging out jumping in the lake. this year look we still have 20 foot snow banks around here. you guys got some skiing in? yes we didas a plowertoday was a lot of work(jr stone) many people have to trek

through the snow just to get to their front door. you can see that in this video. many ski resorts are schedueled to stay open through the july 4th holiday. (jr stone) take a look at this... a man jumped into a freezing pond to save his dog cosmo... who fell through the ice. it happened in saint albert, canada yesterday a a news crew managed to capture the whole thing on camera. duncan mciver jumped in the water without hesitation.... as cosmo struggles to keep his head above the freezing water. mciver manages to get cosmo and himself out of the water but the hard part was getting back on shore... trudging through shallow water, they finally made it back safely. mciver and cosmo are okay after their

(jr stone) new at 10. firefighters are on scene in union city. where a car ran into a home. it happened right after eight p.m. at a home on cambridge waynear the alameda creek. once at the scene firefighters found a vehicle rammed into the garage of the home. no one was hurt.

the cause of the accidentis currently under investigation. and in milpitas. police say four people were arrested on suspicion of numerous offenses. including possessing a stolen vehicle and drug paraphernalia. it happened march 27th , when police spotted the suspects driving a stolen 2009 nissan murano s-u-v on ranch drive. officers attempted to catch the suspects, but they successfully sped away after an extensive search, all four suspects were arrested. (jr stone) new tonight at ten... it was this cellphone and surveillance videos of a deadly officer- involved shooting of an unarmed black man... that caused nationwide protests and critism... el cajon (prono: el cah- hone) officer richard gonsalves fires four shots at alfred olango in san diego county... olango is the unarmed black man, who was pointing an e-cigarette at officers. yesterday demonstrators gathered calling on their local police department to fire officer gonsalves... reporter kelly hessedal has the story and explains how this case is now headed to the supreme court. the city of los angeles versus mendez... now in the hands of the u-s supreme court.and the ruling could impact the federal lawsuit filed by the father of alfred olango against the el cajon police department.natstoday

protesters rallied outside police headquarters... calling on the department to fire the officer who shot and killed olango back in september of 2016.the district attorney's office ruled the shooting was justified. but now the highest court in the land will answer the question.even if the shooting is ruled justified could the officer still be held liable if proven he some how provoked the violent encounter?the case the justices will be ruling on happened back in 2010. sheriff's deputies raided an l-a area property and shot an innocent couple while searching for a wanted man angel mendez/plaintiff:"me and my wife were sleeping. she's pregnant. it's hot. we're there in the air conditioner just relaxing and it just happened."angel and jennifer mendez were living in a shack at the time.deputies entered their home without a warrant. angel says he was reaching for a b-b gun to move it and

deputies opened fire.jennifer who was pregnant at the time was shot in the back.angel was hit too and later had to have a portion of his leg amputated. a judge awarded them four-million dollars.lower courts ruled the deputies were liable because they provoked the shooting by entering without a warrant.natsin olango's case attorneys have argued officer richard gonsalves quote - "aggressively confronted olango and cornered him."they allege the officers demeanor provoked olango to take a shooting stance, which resulted in his death. (jr stone) over the last two years, kron four has brought you the story of jordan terry, a toddler who needed a new kidney and was given a new kidney. now at four-year's-old... jordan finally came face-to-face with the woman who saved his life.two years later. kron four's spencer blake has more on a story you'll only see on kron 4 news. (spencer): it's hard to put into words the special, life- saving bond between jordan and his donor victoria meyer. the best thing to do, is to watch it.it wasn't the flowers that brought victoria myer to tears. it was seeing the boy to whom she donated a kidneylooking healthy and cool as ever. two years have passed since the successful transplant from myer to then-two-year-old jordan terry."just wanted to kind of step back and let the family have their time with him before i come in and just right now, he's healthy, he's happy - it just seemed like the right time."áhis family, who admits they've been stalking myer on facebook, had been waiting earnestly for this day to come."i keep asking myself the same thing - what am i gonna do when i meet her? am i gonna cry, i don't know. i've got so many emotions.""see? just a little bump."myer showed jordan her own scar"and they put it in you!"and was glad to hear he too, is a giants fan.nat: "and you're playing baseball? wow!" baseball himself.in fairfield, spencer blake, kron four news. (jr stone) police say they've located the suspect who sent ransom messages to the family of a missing yuba city college student. officers determined that the suspect was not involved in the disapearance of alycia yeoman. the 20-year-old went missing in yuba city, north of sacramento last thursday. alycia's truck was found near a levee the night she went missing. investigators later found her cell phone and one set of footprints leading away from her truck. yeoman's mom says she received texts with demands from alycia's kidnappers. authorities are offering a five-thousand dollar reward for information leading to her recovery. (jr stone) the body of a sacramento woman who went missing last week has been found. authorities say the body of 62 year-old pamela suwinsky was found in the upper truckee river this morning. suwinsky was last seen nearly a week ago leaving the motel-six in south lake

tahoe. that's less than a half mile from where her body was located. according to her ex-husband... suwinsky had fallen in a parking lot and chipped a tooth the day before she went missing. an autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of her death (jr stone) a "tent city" pilot program in oakland is just about to end... just as city officials get ready to launch another one. the city argues that allowing the homeless to live in one area could give them better access to services, while also getting tents off sidewalks. kron four's philippe djegal goes in-depth tonight on what the city is hoping to accomplish. philippe: dejon goolsby/homel ess/nats- "babe, this is all he gave me right here."welcome to dejon goolsby's humble abode...a tent underneath the freeway in west oakland... dejon goolsby/homeless- "i never thought we'd be here, but i appreciate the help though."last october, the city of oakland turned this space into a "tent city."part of it's "safe camping" pilot program...giving the homeless

an area to camp out, equiped with portable toilets. garbage service...and, case managers who stop by on occasion to help get people into housing. when the pilot first launched, some 40 people lived here... out of the city's more than 15- hundred homeless.since then, joe devries with the city of oakland, says all but seven of those homeless are no longer on the streets and are actually in housing.joe devries/city of oakland- "now, more people have moved in. so, for our next pilot, we're looking at a site that's not on the street, that would actually be a vacant lot, that has not just case management and services, but also site management and security." devries says the new city sanctioned homeless encampment should be up and running in about a month...and, he says the pilot program could last for up to a year and a half.he says that it'll give homeless the opporunity like this encampement, to get access to resources that'll hopefully eventually get them off of the streets permanently.dejon goolsby/homeless- "i think they want more tent cities though, because you know,

everybody needs help."but this local business owner says the west oakland encampment has been an unsafe distraction for the community.no name/business owner- "the city has just gone out of their minds."he says this "tent city" is changing the neighborhood for the worst. no name/business owner- "we're dealing with trash a lot. people come up and down the street. you're dealing with drug addicts, you're dealing with alcoholics, you're dealing with mentally ill people and its all unsupervised."devries says the next city-sanctioned encampment will be more secure. the program is paid for by money from the city's general fund approved last year by the city council.about 190- thousand dollars.half already spent on the site in west oakland, which the city believes has been a success. joe devries/city of oakland- "and, our hope is, that it will a -- uh, provide people a safe place to be living when they're unsheltered, and b --

(jr stone) new at 10. a small plane crashes in oregon, killing the four people on board it happened friday outside of harrisburg... which is north of eugene. the plane was supposed to land at the eugene airport--but ended up crashing in rural linn county. witnesses described seeing the plane flying at a low altitude when it suddenly turned and

went down into a field. the victims are a california couple, their 17-year-old son and a 67-year-old pilot. the ntsb and faa are investigating. (jr stone) áthe need for speedá is the driving force behind jeep's new s-u-v. the grand cherokee trackhawk will be officially unveiled at the new york auto show this week. jeep says the seven-hundred horsepower has stunning on-road performance. it can go from zero to sixty in three-and-a-half seconds... and reach the top speed of 180-miles-an-hour. the trackhawk will go on sale by the end of the year, but its price tag has not been announced yet. legendary insult comedian and long-time actor died this week at the age of 90. according to his publicist...rickles passed at his los angeles home thursday morning due to kidney failure. the man known for his one-liners gained widespread exposure for his memorable appearances on late night talk shows. reporter stephanie elam has a look back at his successful career. comedian don rickles was known for his unique brand of "insult comedy." his humor was cutting but never mean spirited."what i do is exaggerate life and make fun i don't have to apologize for it."born donald jay rickles in

queens, new york on may 8, 1926, he got his start as a comedian on the club circuit. rickles was discovered by none other than frank sinatra at "murray franklin's nightclub" during the 1950's. he told cnn's larry king in 2004 how his friendship with the late american icon began."he sat down right in the front and one of the famous lines is stand up frank be yourself hit somebody and the whole audience laughed and the guys with him said what do you think huh huh huh." sinatra affectionately called rickles "bullethead," and championed the up and coming comedian's career. their friendship survived several decades, with rickles taking jabs at "ol blue eyes" during his 80th birthday celebration in 1995. "god bless ya frank, i make fun of you what can you do to me (makes moves to his heart)" "he was great he was a great reactor for me. he enjoyed my sense of humor and i'm really grateful for it. rickles tested his acting chops in the 1958 movie "run silent run deep" opposite clark gable. he also made appearances in the

popular "beach blanket" film series with annette funicello and frankie avalon."i couldn't have done it better myself if i could have done it."rickles caught johnny carson's attention and in 1965 began making regular appearances on "the tonight show." carson dubbed him "mr. warmth.""i started with him when the show was 90 minutes. i had great fun with him and i was free form and johnny would set me up to look like a real champ that was one of the exciting points of my life."rickles continued to make movies and soon became the go-to-guy for laughs. in 1985, he performed at ronald reagan's second inaugural ball. he would later call the show the highlight of his career. in 1995, rickles played robert deniro's trusted floor boss in martin scorsese's "casino." mr. warmth then became the voice of "mr. potato head" in disney pixar's "toy story" franchise. he even had the chance to incorporate one of his famous calling cards."what are you looking at you hockey puck?"the funnyman was honored

it's official tonight...the golden state warriors will play the portland trail blazers in round 1 of the nba playoffs. the team was off today. they have just two games left in the regular season. monday and wednesday. they will open up against the blazers either next saturday or sunday at oracle arena. the schedule will be released wednesday.

rescued from a storm drain around 9:30 this morning... you can see the mama duck was leading the way. the ducklings were all relocated to a nearby creek where they were united with their parents. here's a photo of crews at the storm drain with the mother duck looking on. they were able to get all 11 ducklings out safely.
